Blockchain: Disruptive Technology
Blockchain has enjoyed runaway popularity in the technological world in the past few years. A potent force free from geographic and economic barriers, Blockchain has thoroughly disrupted our accepted ways of doing business. And, more importantly, it’s here to stay.
As one of the most important drivers of the digital transformation, Blockchain will undoubtedly have a profound impact on job markets, organizational culture, governments, and corporate strategy.
The “Fourth Generation” of Internet presents an immense new world of possibilities. Blockchain connects decentralized systems in a format that is open source, versatile, and unalterably secure without relying on third parties, so all of us can participate directly in the viral change that is sweeping the business world.
For that reason, MIT Professional Education is proud to announce its new online program Blockchain: Disruptive Technology. This course will teach professionals from diverse sectors about the fundamentals of Blockchain technology and its practical applications. The goal is not only to understand how this technology works, but also to learn how to apply it for maximum benefit in digital transformation projects.

Fire Hydrant Award
Jerome Wiesner, president of MIT (1971-1980), described the experience of studying at MIT as “drinking from a fire hydrant.” Living and learning at MIT requires endurance, consistency, and a great deal of determination.
Our professional programs reflect and instill these essential capabilities. The “Fire Hydrant Award” was born as a way to acknowledge those students who demonstrate a constant thirst for learning and the ability to put knowledge into practice. This award is also given to participants who embody MIT’s core values: excellence, meritocracy, courage, humility, curiosity, and a passion for problem-solving and improving society.
At MIT Professional Education, we offer a number of benefits for participants who successfully complete the online Blockchain: Disruptive Technology program.

The experience I acquired in the program was very enriching because it allowed us to understand from a human perspective the changes of the new revolution 4.0, where technologies are infinite, but it will be people who generate these changes, with a change first in how they work. I see digital transformation as a catalyst for profound changes in the way we interact with our main stakeholders.
I would recommend this course to more people!

I think it was like those booster shots of vaccines that we were given when we were little: Even if you have the knowledge, it helps to remind ourselves of the basics. We have to force ourselves to continue learning. It has helped me to remember that it is imperative to be constantly updated and with my eyes wide open so as not to miss any opportunity. And it has also reaffirmed my opinion that we should not always be satisfied with “standard” solutions, but that we must innovate.
Julio García Ramis de Ayreflor
– CEO y Asesor Consultor –
